The Xcitement builds!

It's like a boiling pot inside of my tummy. All the excitement I am feeling about my new project in Second Life. It all started with one shop. I shopped for clothes to sell and hung them. I heard that first cha ching from the cash register getting my first sale. After that and many more cha chings, it's been very well worth all the things I've been thru getting here. I've been hooked ever since. Two years later, many trials and tribulations later but much enthusiasm and determination also. Here I am.

Now I'm about to embark on a new adventure, A Virtual Adventure with a group of very enthusiastic and excited business partners like myself. Some would ask me if I'm ready for the China Town project. But what they should ask me .......Is China Town ready for me? LOL. Whatever the case may be....I'm packing my virtual bags and moving to China Town!!! See you when you get there.

Spreading Wise Words

My friend and mentor Javabox Kawanishi, has a lot of useful information we all can use and live by for making our virtual businesses a success. We talk often about business and what can be done to improve it and take us further in all of our ventures.I felt like it woud be a great idea for everyone within the reach of my blog and beyond to benefit from Java's great words of wisdom to having and maintaining a successful virtual business. Thanks a lot Java. Check this out.

A recipe for success inworld

After having a business here on Second Life for the past 3 years I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences with you.
You may have noticed we have seen a lot of SL entrepreneurs come and go and they all have seemed to say similar things as to why they failed:
The RL economic crisis has also hit the SL market, too many competitors, too many malls, affiliate and designers creating the same things and a lack of RL time. .
What surprised me was that out all of the conversations I had with them, no one was saying my business went bust because I didn’t calculate the risk in my business plan or I didn’t continue the business because I didn't have a clear vision. Neither did they say I just lost my passion.
The key ingredients of having your business succeed are in my opinion; passion, vision and a business plan, this is the key to getting motivation, insight and other business skills.

It's not easy to run a virtual business without a plan, vision statement and then to guarantee your business won't fail or even worse, continue doing business and make loss every week.
So to all the business owners on Second Life and to the people those are interested in starting a business: passion, vision and having a business plan are the important subject/things to think about and to work with before you start spending time and money in this virtual world.
As Benjamin Franklin said "if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail" have a wonderful Second Life and see you In World!

Virtual Adventures New York Expansion: China Town

I am very pleased to be partnered with my friend Javabox Kawanishi and Virtual Adventures in their expansion of the New York City Sim.I would like to say a warm hello to my new partner on the sim,Glory Aristocrat and her Kanzeon Samurai Clan & Family. It's a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to working along side of you Glory to help Virtual Adventures make it all happen. The Kanzeon Clan will definitely add a superb flavor & presence to this new project. China Town will be the new sim with all the flavor and cultural blends of China Town in real life New York City. There will be 75 new apartments. Some will be free apartments and some will be luxury apartments for rent. There will also be 30 new shops, recreation/hang out areas, restaurants and new clubs. We are looking for interested tenants for apartments, shop owners and designers to open new shops on the sim.

China Town will be a very vibrant and alive sim with much continuously going on. The apartments will have spectacular views and so will the shops. Life will move along in China Town much as it does in real life. If you've never been to China Town this is your chance to get the full virtual experience. With very talented builders and designers making that happen for us all. You will not be disappointed. We want you to help us make China Town, as well as the other three sims, come alive and stay alive 24/7 just like it is in reality. All interested designers, shop owners and tenants please leave a comment here with your name and preference to an apartment or shop and I, MokaLaTae Blinker or Glory Aristocrat will get back to you. Or you may contact us under these same names in world.

Once again i will say thank you Java and Virtual Adventures for the opportunity. Nice to meet you Glory and the Kanzeon Samauri Clan. And to all interested designers, shop owners and tenants. Leave a comment so your voice and need can be heard.

Virtuality

I'm learning that there are way more versatility's to the virtual world than even I imagined. I have focussed on the work ethic and the perks from that with much enjoyment. But I am finding there is a lots of fun in virtual worlds much like the real world. Today I had a business meeting in the new downtown area of the New York sim. I even took a bus tour over that sim and the neighboring sister sim, Nederpoort. Both are very lovely and must sees. I am honored to have the opportunity to also participate in the managing of a new sim to come. I am happy to have the opportunity to have lots of fun and bring lots of fun to a new virtual city. Here are just a few of  the pics that depict my morning adventure in downtown New York with friends.
