Turning the Page

I'm sure most of you know by now that Manhattan City is no more. It was my baby, my biggest SL inspiration. Fun, exciting, mentally stimulating but like all good things, it has came to a very restful end. I wish to thank all you graced my fair city with your presence, curiosity and enjoyed every aspect of city life offered in Mahattan with you in mind.

It's not an ending but a new beginning of exciting things to come. More to add to my joys in SL and my love for helping and assisting others. Manhattan City may be gone but it is far from over. Look for more exciting things to come your way. I am just turning the page and starting a new chapter. bBeing the SL addict that I am, I am moving right along to the next thing. And what is the next thing you say? Just keep your eyes open, I'll be around. : )

Simply purchase one from the 7Seas vendor for only 1L or more if you prefer a more advanced experience. Walk out to the pier and have a seat in the lounge couch,, bar or table set for your dining requirements. There are even a couple of boats you two can sit in, in romantic poses and enjoy the sunset or dance under the moonlight and stars, if you so desire. The pier is animated for a very nice couple experience. Great for a dinner date or just some quiet time alone. Built for your enjoyment pleasure, Guerrero Pond is here to please and tease you. Presidential Art & Tattoos

Manhattan has some of the best talents in SL. We are also very rich in the arts. I'm going to be doing a series of blogs on art in the city. I'm going to start with Presidential Art & Tattoos. Ran by Presi Resident, a former shop tenant of Manhattan. Presi has returned and is still doing art but has also added custom tattoos to his talent. These tattoos are very detailed and can be customized to fit whatever your specific flava may be. Presi sells tattoos in his shop that have already been made for a fantastic pic for men and women. If there is some design you might want and don't see, just let Presi know and e can hook that up for you too. Presi's artwork is hand drawn and he can also do custom art work if you would like. Be it a profile pic for your SL self or a RL pic to display in your RL home. It can be done. Come take a look at what Presi can do for you and hopefully you will seee something you like or maybe there is an image you want to be brought to life. Here is a limo to put you right at his door, plus a few images to make your day. Don't be a stranger. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Manhattan%20City/107/242/24

The More the Merrier!!

There is always more room for our family here in Manhattan City. Collaboration with our sister sim, Downtown NYC has been active from the start of the Virtual Adventures NYC Sims Project. Instead of being next door now we are all under one happy roof and faithfully connected to our sister sim Arima City, Home of Serenity Groove Radio.Lending a helping hand is what we, in Virtual Adventures, do and charity always begins at home. When there was some distress for our family, Manhattan welcomed them with open arms.

As spoken by the Virtual Adventures team leader, Javabox Kawanishi, " Because of the lag in Ocraco Island  for the past 2 weeks and "full sim" situation, caused by a club on the sim, Downtown NYC(Ocraco Island) is moving all of its activities to Manhattan City. With this new strategy, we will intensify our collaboration with Serenity Grooves and the Manhattan City group. The transition should be ready by the weekend."

What this means is that Manhattan City and Downtown NYC are all on the same sim as one big happy family. The whole sim is getting a face lift. If you thought it was hot before, wait until you see this one. You dont want to miss it. If youre looking for someplace to go this weekend and hang out and have a lil fun, come to Manhattan City. More hang outs, more fun and of course, more SHOPPING will be available to you.

Pastor Chance? Weddin in The Hood

The darnest things happen in Manhattan City. It's always filled with characters and situations to bring a smile to your face. My newest store manager, RealChance Resident had a new task this weekend. Chance has come in contact with all kinds of people. One couple he met had a very different request. The couple wanted chance to SL marry them. If course he obliged. The fact that he has never performed a ceremony and had to make up his own words for the vows it was a success. So much of a success the couple had a bigger ceremony on saturday and got married again. Such fun. Here are a couple pics of te couple and Chance presiding over the parrk bench ceremony. Enjoy.

Lovin My City

It's such a joy to me to see people in Manhattan City walking around exploring, checking out the shops and hang out spots. There has been a lot of reconstruction in all areas of our NYC cities. If you havent came out to see, you really should. he shops are great, and the sites are even greater. All you RP'ers are missing a treat. Manhattan City, Downtown New York and now Times Square(aka Arima City) all have new things to offer to all of our visitors. These photos are from my Urban downtown Manhattan Area.In this one, there is a couple sitting in front of the new Ice Cream Shop just talking and relaxing in the city. As hot as it is, it's no wonder they might want a cool treat.
We also have a new pharmacy on the block. This pharmacy is a lil bit different than most. It specializes in "natural" herbs. If you know what I mean. Some people like to buy their pain medications from bottles. I've heard that some people with cataracks really enjoy these Herbs as a natural pain killer and for nausea. It's my duty to help the community out any way I can. For all you "catarack" patients and people needing a lil lift, come by The Pharmacy and holla at it's manager, RealChance Resident. Chance is pictured here holding down his area. Such a good employee.I would show you the insides of the shop but I'm not sure if the SL Po-Po would come after me.LOL. But at any rate, here is the photo and the url in case you might need some healing or just want to explore the area. There are a few places to check out. Even a church, if you need prayer. O, did I mention, the shop also sales weapons? Thought I'de just put that out there too. See you soon!
Don't be a stranger. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Manhattan%20City/32/239/23

I love my dad. Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Father's Day is a good day for all of us to give special honor, love and thanks to our dads and to our moms who have also been dad. A father's role can be over looked but it's more important than given credit some times. I applaud all you men that step up to the plate and take care of your kids and family .I see more father's today taking active roles in the family and lives of their children.I am very proud of that.

Spoken as a true "Daddy's Girl" I know the importance of a father to me. To love and guide and give a strong hand when needed. To understand and listen when we need to be heard. To laugh with us and show that soft, loving side they also possess. Even to spoil and indulge when necessary to give you a feeling of confidence. Balancing out the home structure and making tough, strong decesions that we may not like sometimes, but usually turn out for our best interest. A father is the first man in a girl's life. Often the kind of father we have helps to mold our expectations for the future men in our lives.Of all the things my father has given me. The most important, I feel, was to always have an open mind and be my own person, and stand behind my convictions. No matter what no one else thinks. And to always treat people the way I want to be treated. So I take this moment to thank my dad for being my "superman", my hero, an all around fantastic guy that I love with all of my heart. One of the most important men in my life, now and forever. Not just on Father's Day, but every day of the week. Happy Father's Day guys! I love you daddyyy!

Just Coolin in the City

It's been a while since I wrote so I thought, why the heck not this morning. There have been a lot of developments as usual in Manhattan City and we are still kicking it live. I've been taking the time lately to get in touch with people that I see come to the city to get their feedback and any suggestions that may have. Just lastnight I was doing some work downtown and a guy rode up on a motorbike by the name of  Kealli Resident. Kealli told me how much he enjoyed riding around and exploring different areas in Manhattan. I was thankful of course, as always when people actually take the time to notice in retail the city. Kealli rode off and I was satisfied. About 30 minutes later he IM me and asked what my favorite car color was.Little did I know, Kealli was a creator of motorbikes and cars and was generous enough to send me a red Roadster. I was like wow, thanks. Of course I hopped right in and started driving. I looked down the street and saw Kealli again, in a red Roadster, lol. We had a ball riding around the sims racing and trying to ditch eachother. After much enjoyment with that, Kealli asked my favorite cafe, which of course if Ralphs. So we parked our cars sat down at a table and starting conversing. Soon, my assistant Honeydew showed, up then Isis Gaelyth, who was also touring the city after renting a shop on the neighboring sim, Ocraco Island and stumbled upon us.It was a nice evening of conversation and sharing ideas for almost 2 hours.I had a nice time and met a couple of nice people and made friends.Another well spent evening in Manhattan. I love it!

Busted!!!!! By the NYPD at Block Party Saturday

Everyone knows that Saturday afternoon in Manhattan City is Block Party time with DJ Urbanking. The beats are always sweet and the party is always live. Word must be getting around. This afternoon we were visitted by the NYPD. I just knew somebody turned me in for having that "wacky weed" vendor in the Hood. But I swear it's legal! LOL! After over an hour of observation, telling people they were dancing too close, And questining my guest. Not to mention, drinking plenty of coffee and having several donuts from the local Dunkin Donut stand. It seemed these cops were more interested in watching the ladies shake their stuff rather than bust me.I tried to snap a few shots but my head wasn't so steady. Cool Moka was nervous for a minute. I managed to get a few shots.Buddy, Jason and nikolaay( or whatever their names were).....I'll see you again. Here are a few pics so we can remember these guys. LOL.
