DJ Johan rocked the lounge with powerful house and dance music which included a lot of great songs. A few of my favorites I might add. I think I saw the doublemint twins too, lol. Everyone had a very good time like we always do in Manhattan. If you haven't came to Manhattan City yet to enjoy city life shopping, exploring, even riding around. Get on the bandwagon and come check us out. People like DJ Johan keep Manhattan hot!

BooperFunk....Dare to be different!!
In loving my city, I have to say Manhattan is very diverse. That is the beauty of it. So many different fashion and ethnic tastes. Diversity is what makes a community. A little bit of everything. One of the shops here, BooperFunk, is just that, a different taste. BooperFunk is owned by Booperkit Moseley. Booperkit creates all kinds of ethnic hairstyles for men and women. Afros and dreads are her specialty. Men and women can come here and get a variety of colors and styles. Demos are available so that you can try each one until you find your "flavor" of hairstyle. I love Booperkit's shop's design also. Booperkit and her husband Shukrun Fahid desiged Booperfunk and it is very nicely done. The design of the shop as well as the creations inside, and the owners are all originals. Perfect representations of Manhattan's goal to be beautifully diverse, original and one of a kind in secondlife. Booperkit will continue to bring you all the up to date, hip and very urban styles of secondlife which come from the real world we live in. Come to Manhattan's Booperfunk ethnic hair to keep your hairstyle funky! If you want originality, diversity, and love city life. Manhattan has just what you need. The city that never sleeps, thats what we are. I love you Manhattan City!

The new home of Sunday SlowJams is the brand new Margarita Lounge nestled right in the heart of Manhattan City. Walk around Manhattan City?? Surely you jest!
I know it's a big beautiful city. But sometimes I just dont feel like walking. Call me lazy, and you may be right. As long as I see scooter rezzers that I can use to get a cute scooter to ride around the sims on. Or catch the bus or hail a cab.....why am I going to walk. LOL! So when your'e in Manhattan City, rezz one of those cute scooters and ride. Wait for the bus and leave the driving to use. Or strap on your seatbelt and enjoy a cab ride. They are all there for your enjoyment.

Art Erotique.... A true taste of Harlem
One of the best things I love about being a part of Manhattan City is all the great designers that we have to really enhance the value and look of Manhattan. Which it seems people really appreciate.Jonquel Jiagu 's Art Erotique shop in Harlem is such an example. I have always followed Jonquel's art work and thought it was fabulous. When I decided to become a part of Manhattan City and helped create the idea of having Harlem and China Town as part of the city. I immediately thought of Jonquel's art as a great asset to the community. She is a very talented lady.I knew she would be a valued part of Harlem. Art Erotique carries art pieces that capture the true taste, blend, beauty and historical value of Harlem. Every piece is beautiful, creative and holds its own liitle piece of the true meaning of Harlem. I want to share Harlem, Jonquel and her art works with everyone in the reach of my blog. Do yourself a favor and come have a look. Bring a friend and bring your purse. Every piece is very affordable and well worth the price. You can take a piece of Harlem home with you to enjoy day afer day.Thank you Jonquel for the opportunity you've given us all to experience Harlem through your eyes. It is very much appreciated. Here are a few photos of Jonquel's art work and impeccable style. Find Jonquel in Mahattan City.

NYC is the place to be!
I have seen many virtual places that call themselves cities. They haven't been bad looking or anything like that. The only thing that would get to me would be the fact that they call themselves cities but when you go there. They are just sitting there. Buildings with clothes in them and different things people will sell. Parks and clubs all pretty and very well built. The only thing I want to know is........where are the people that are supposed to inhabit these places? Of all the projects I've been a part of in Second Life. Virtual Adventures has been by far the best. When you come to any of these 5 connected NYC themed sims, you wont have to ask that question....Where are the people? You will see them. Walking, shopping, dancing, socializing in one of many hang out spots. Bringing their friends over so they too, can participate in all activities, sales and events that we put on for the community. Many people are even residents in the free apartments that we offer to the public. If you ever wanted a place to live and couldn't afford one. You couldn't have came to any Virtual Adventures sim. I have been very busy with my Manhattan City sim. Which houses the finest modelling academies, Harlem and China Town. I have collected pictures of my time and fun here so far. If you ever get bored in Second Life. Look us up. That will end your boredom. Enjoy these pics as I have enjoyed taking them.

The Xcitement builds!
It's like a boiling pot inside of my tummy. All the excitement I am feeling about my new project in Second Life. It all started with one shop. I shopped for clothes to sell and hung them. I heard that first cha ching from the cash register getting my first sale. After that and many more cha chings, it's been very well worth all the things I've been thru getting here. I've been hooked ever since. Two years later, many trials and tribulations later but much enthusiasm and determination also. Here I am.
Now I'm about to embark on a new adventure, A Virtual Adventure with a group of very enthusiastic and excited business partners like myself. Some would ask me if I'm ready for the China Town project. But what they should ask me .......Is China Town ready for me? LOL. Whatever the case may be....I'm packing my virtual bags and moving to China Town!!! See you when you get there.

Spreading Wise Words
My friend and mentor Javabox Kawanishi, has a lot of useful information we all can use and live by for making our virtual businesses a success. We talk often about business and what can be done to improve it and take us further in all of our ventures.I felt like it woud be a great idea for everyone within the reach of my blog and beyond to benefit from Java's great words of wisdom to having and maintaining a successful virtual business. Thanks a lot Java. Check this out.
After having a business here on Second Life for the past 3 years I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences with you.
You may have noticed we have seen a lot of SL entrepreneurs come and go and they all have seemed to say similar things as to why they failed:
The RL economic crisis has also hit the SL market, too many competitors, too many malls, affiliate and designers creating the same things and a lack of RL time. .
What surprised me was that out all of the conversations I had with them, no one was saying my business went bust because I didn’t calculate the risk in my business plan or I didn’t continue the business because I didn't have a clear vision. Neither did they say I just lost my passion.
The key ingredients of having your business succeed are in my opinion; passion, vision and a business plan, this is the key to getting motivation, insight and other business skills.
It's not easy to run a virtual business without a plan, vision statement and then to guarantee your business won't fail or even worse, continue doing business and make loss every week.
So to all the business owners on Second Life and to the people those are interested in starting a business: passion, vision and having a business plan are the important subject/things to think about and to work with before you start spending time and money in this virtual world.
As Benjamin Franklin said "if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail" have a wonderful Second Life and see you In World!

Virtuality
I'm learning that there are way more versatility's to the virtual world than even I imagined. I have focussed on the work ethic and the perks from that with much enjoyment. But I am finding there is a lots of fun in virtual worlds much like the real world. Today I had a business meeting in the new downtown area of the New York sim. I even took a bus tour over that sim and the neighboring sister sim, Nederpoort. Both are very lovely and must sees. I am honored to have the opportunity to also participate in the managing of a new sim to come. I am happy to have the opportunity to have lots of fun and bring lots of fun to a new virtual city. Here are just a few of the pics that depict my morning adventure in downtown New York with friends.

Party, Shop and have fun on the Boardwalk
It all started with one shop almost 2 years ago. I found it very relaxxing and rewarding to create a shop and see people come buy things from me after my hard work of setting up the shop. I'm not a designer or creator. Merely a reseller with a dream of doing SL big and really challenging myself to complete task and goals. I would like a place where everyone can come enjoy themselves, have fun, enjoy the great fashions, footwear and everyday perks of The Boardwalk.
Now for a very small fee, you can also come and enjoy some games as well as shop. There is a new pool, more shops, and some classic arcade games for your enjoyment and bragging rights. Skee Ball, Balloon Darts, Whack a Mole to name a few. Not to mention free prizes given every day of the week! So come dance, shop, relax and play a few games on The Boardwalk( http://slurl.com/secondlife/GoldenBusiness%20Area2/73/155/22) We're waiting for you.

Hello guys. My name is Moka and I am very new to blogging here. My intent is to inform you all of my business practices and endeavors here in the virtual world and in my RL. If you look at my website you will see it is a Avon representative page. I am new to selling Avon at my virtual store here on the internet. I will say that the advantage to online selling would be the convenience of shopping hassle free whenever you like without having to know or find someone with a current Avon catalog . Especially if you like Avon and don't really know anyone who sells it. So if this is you, don't worry. You know someone now. I would be very flattered to have you all go to my sight, look it over and by all means click shop to look for any product your heart desires. There is makeup, perfumes, lotions, health and beauty aides of all sorts.Jewelry,fashions,footwear. The list is endless. So go have a look. Maybe something will tickle your fancy. http://www.avonrepresentative.com/karenpowell
I am also a mall owner in Second Life. Myself and a few of my good friends have shops at Boardwalk Beach Mall(my mall). It's a great place to come and relax on a very soothing beach by yourself, hopefully with friends or your sweetheart as well. You can sit out on the beach, enjoy a romantic encounter, as well as a glass of champagne, in the gazebo or dance under the stars . Of course the shops are all great. Lovely up to date fashions for every fashion taste. Always new arrivals to keep up with changing fashion times and always a sale on something to keep you coming back for more. So don't just be curious. Come by and see it all for yourself. But don't blink, because if you do you might miss something. Things are ever changing on Boardwalk Beach. Don't be a stranger, help me enjoy it.http://slurl.com/secondlife/GoldenBusiness%20Area2/31/63/21
Now that I've said hello and told you a little about myself. Feel free to see me in world in SL as MokaLaTae Blinker, and say hi. I love meeting new people and from this long blog, lol, you will see I love to talk. I'm looking to network and make lots of friends to share my ideas with, and to also learn new business ideas and techniques from also. If there is anything I can do for you, just let me know. I love helping others. See you soon!
